Entertaining Los Angeles' Children for over 85 years

Producing plays since 1929, the Assistance League® of Los Angeles Theatre for Children is the oldest children’s theatre in Southern California. The League’s award-winning Nine O’Clock Players Auxiliary (NOP) performs two plays annually chosen from classic children’s literature with dancing, singing and special effects.

The productions are offered to school groups during the week and to the public on weekends. Revenue from weekend performances support NOP to offer shows and bus transportation at no cost to economically and physically-challenged children.

Our mission for 85 years has been to introduce children to the magic of live performance, literature and music through the joy of theatre. After weekend shows, children can meet the cast members in the patio to get autographs.
